Intro to Lollipop/LyraPole
Workshop combining our love for pole with a fun new apparatus- The Lollipop! (Otherwise known as a LyraPole) Workshop Instructor Kimmie will introduce you to new techniques and fun moves. Some experience recommended but not required.

Kimberly (Kimmie) Miller first started her dancing journey as a hula hooper and fire dancer. She has performed internationally in Japan, and throughout Northern CA as a flow arts and fire performer before she fell in love with lollipop. Fun fact, her first ever aerial performance was for HBO Max in 2021! You can find her spinning on her lollipop lyrapole on HBO Max’s “12 Dates of Christmas” (season 2, episode 3). representing Tahoe Fire Dancers.
She founded and directs the local circus group Aries Moon Circus. She is passionate about showcasing local performers and helping to cultivate new ones. She strongly believes in the healing power of live entertainment, and flow and aerial arts as an empowering activity.

Please wear leggings, as we will focus on moves within the hoop section mostly. This workshop will focus on beginner moves (delilah, martini, arabesque, etc.) and move into more intermediate moves if time allows. We will end with a short choreography stringing all the moves together!
